Instructor

Neil Ray is an IIRP instructor working with schools and districts nationwide on the introduction and implementation of restorative practices. Neil has served in communities and schools of Philadelphia and Northern Delaware for over 20 years in various capacities including; school social worker, behavioral health clinician, executive director of a youth development nonprofit organization, and assistant principal. Neil most recently spent the last six years serving as assistant principal and principal of the state of Delaware's largest alternative school, where he blended his passion for helping youth and his desire to create healthy communities that foster growth. Additionally, he serves as Director of the Return to Learn Program, within the Colonial School District, in New Castle, DE. 

Neil studied Sociology at Indiana University of Pennsylvania in Indiana, Pennsylvania, earning a Bachelors of Arts, and later returned to Philadelphia to complete a Master’s in Social Work from the University of Pennsylvania’s School of Social Policy and Practice.  

A native of Philadelphia, Neil is a passionate fan of the Philadelphia Eagles and 76ers. He is a proud husband and father and enjoys spending quality time with his family.
